This notice describes information Hot Audio collects and the purposes for which we use it.
Our servers automatically collect information from visitors: browser user agent, IP address, date and time, username if logged in, the specific pages visited, errors encountered while browsing, and information about when and how audios are played. We use this automatically collected data to monitor site usage, enable logged-in functionalities, determine when visitors encounter issues, analyze posts to show their popularity and provide recommendations, and detect violations of the terms of service.
None of this information can be used to directly identify a specific person, and it is never shared with any third parties. We use Cloudflare to serve our site, and they collect their own data in the process.
When you sign up, you choose a username and optionally can provide an email address or link a Reddit account. Email addresses are never made public or shared with any other parties, and are only used for transactional emails, such as resetting lost passwords. Due to technical limitations around account creation and recovery flows, other users may be able to determine if a username or email has an account on Hot Audio. We recommend using an email that is only linked to your pseudonymous username.
When you upload an audio, it is transmitted to Cloudflare storage servers and then processed to be served to other users. The original audio files you provide are not visible to other users, and our processing steps strive to ensure all metadata is removed for public consumption.
Posts you create and the associated audio tracks are shared with the public by default, but can be made private with the appropriate Visibility settings. Posts marked "Private" can only be viewed by you, or by Hot Audio's agents exclusively for enforcing terms of service.
We take all reasonable steps to ensure the privacy and protection of data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. You are responsible for preventing unauthorized users from gaining access to your account. We take steps to make it more difficult to download audios, but it is impossible to prevent someone with a microphone from recording sounds.
