Between Attempts · Grief.mp3
This is the next instalment in the Between Attempts series.
Grief is one of life's most universal experiences, yet perhaps one of its most difficult to put into words.
I don't try to explain grief.
Offer easy answers.
Or tell you how to move on.
Instead, I simply explore a few thoughts that I've found myself returning to over the years.
Why we grieve.
What it means to lose someone.
The traces people leave behind.
Loss.
Memory.
And the lives of those we've loved.
And whether love truly disappears when a life comes to an end.
Through quiet reflection.
Metaphors.
And the image of a lantern drifting across a still lake.
They are off onto there next journey.
Returning to the earth.
As a star.
Maybe something else.
This is simply an invitation to pause.
Think.
And perhaps see grief from a slightly different perspective.
Simply to think.
