A paper that I am working on needs to be completed, and I go to the library because it's the only place I can concentrate.

I get there towards the end of the day where you still let me come in and work, even though the library won't be open that much longer.

Its quiet and luckily I am the only one here.

There's a particular book that I'm looking for that I need to look at.

Can you help me?

Be careful going up the book shelves on that ladder. I don't want you to fall, but I'll be here to catch you if you do.

You keep coming over now and then to ask what I'm doing, to know about the paper that I'm working on.

I can't tell if you're flirting with me, or if it's just purely innocent.

You're nice enough to allow me to continue working a little once the library closes, as you will be a while, closing down things anyway.

How kind of you.

I can't stay too long because I'm not allowed to stay an hour past closing hours.

We engage in conversation for a while, getting to know each other, talking books, authors and libraries, until you tell me of a room that the library has called 'The Archival Room' with rare books and manuscripts.

You take me in there.

While I'm excited about all the old books and papers, there's something about the environment in this room.

I don't know if it's the fact that you and I are in close proximity and how long we've been speaking throughout this afternoon.

But I'm starting to feel an attraction to you, and I don't think I'm going to be able to withhold myself.

The buildings locked.

There is no one else here, but me and you.
