Speaker was attending the wedding of a friend to a girl that he is in love with. He never got over her even though she moved on. He leaves the wedding abruptly and comes back home where his roommate, the listener, is still up. After some coaxing, he begins to explain why he’s so upset, and eventually the listener offers to let the speaker use her as he pretends that she is the woman he truly wants.
