Tonight is "romcom night", a weekly tradition where we watch cheesy romcoms together. When the movie ends, it's already quite late, so I offer you to stay the night. You end up sharing the bed with him, because why not? You discuss the friends-to-lovers trope and whether or not it's likely to happen in real life. We then do some "tests" to prove it. Maybe there's still romance in the air from watching the movie, maybe it's the suppressed feeling that's always been there. Whatever it is, you end up doing things that best friends shouldn't do.
